Life Does Not Always Give Answers, Sometimes It Only Gives Lessons

There was a time in my life when almost nothing made sense. Things happened that I could not explain, and no matter how hard I asked why, no answer ever came. Why did this happen. Why now. Why to me. I kept waiting for some clear reason to show up, as if life owed me an explanation. It never did. And that used to frustrate me more than the problems themselves.

I always thought that if something bad happened, there had to be a reason I could understand right away. That if I just thought about it long enough, I would find the answer and everything would feel fair again. But life does not really work like that. Some things happen and simply refuse to explain themselves. They just are, and you are left standing there, holding a question with no reply.

For a long time I could not accept that. I wanted closure. I wanted the neat ending where everything gets explained and I finally understand the point of it all. But the more I waited for answers, the more stuck I became. I was so busy asking why that I forgot to keep moving forward.

Then time passed. And this is the strange part. The answers I was demanding never really arrived, at least not in the way I wanted. But something else did. Slowly, without me noticing, I started to understand the lessons instead. Not why it happened, but what it taught me. Not the reason, but the meaning I could take from it.

The disappointment that made no sense taught me patience. The loss I could not explain taught me how to value what I still had. The people who left without a proper reason taught me who I should hold onto and who I should let go. None of it came with a clear why. All of it came with a lesson, if I was willing to look for it.

That is when I understood something that made life a little easier to carry. Life does not always give answers. Sometimes it only gives lessons. And maybe the lesson is the answer, just wearing a different face than the one I was expecting. I was looking for an explanation, but what I actually needed was to grow.

So now, when something happens that I cannot explain, I try not to get stuck on the why for too long. I still feel it, I still sit with it, but I no longer wait for the universe to hand me a perfect reason. Instead I ask a quieter question. What is this trying to teach me. What can I carry out of this so it was not for nothing.

I am not saying it is easy. Some questions still sit in me without answers, and maybe they always will. But I have made peace with that. Not everything in life is meant to be understood. Some of it is just meant to be learned from. And somehow, that is enough to keep walking.
